The Council is the governing body of the ISTH. It authorizes and exercises all of the Society’s corporate powers and oversees its activities.
Every two years, members of the Society elect five of their peers to the Council, replacing one-third of elected Council members. Council members serve for a term of six years. Find a list of past Council members here.
The Council also has ex-officio voting members who are members by virtue of holding another office with the ISTH, as mandated by the Society’s Bylaws.
