We welcome applicants from
any country or region who can demonstrate a need, clearly define objectives and
organize an educational activity that will benefit not just the course’s
participants, but the fields of thrombosis and haemostasis as a whole.
Who

fields of thrombosis and/or haemostasis
- Must have experience in organizing
educational courses or scientific meetings
Any member of the ISTH
- Must be supported by a national or regional
society
- Must have experience in organizing
educational courses or scientific meetings

to Apply
Download and complete an application form (with full guidelines) and send it to ISTH Program Manager, Cary Clark.
Please note that applications must be received at least 12 months before you intend to start the course.

Application Criteria
- The
ISTH Education
and Outreach Committee judges applications based on the following criteria:
- Does it clearly state what the educational
needs are?
- Are the objectives of the course clearly
defined?
- Does it describe the course structure and
topics in detail, and if so, are they appropriate?
- Where will the course take place? Do people
in that part of the world have access to similar courses?
- Is there a good balance between course
quality and budget?
- Is the application clear, focused and
well-organized?
- Is it completely filled out?
- Was the application submitted on time and
in the requested format?
- What are the applicant’s qualifications?
The
committee will review applications as it receives them. It may contact
applicants to ask more questions and/or to clarify certain points. The
committee notifies applicants of its decision typically within one month after receiving
an application.
Once
an educational course is approved, the ISTH Education and Outreach Committee
and the ISTH Office will assist local organizers with
advice and guidance for a most successful implementation.
