The ISTH-EHA
Joint Fellowship is a collaborative program between the European
Hematology Association (EHA) and the
International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH). It provides a
grant of € 50,000 (as of the 2013 application round) per year for a maximum of
two years to fellows who are pursuing projects in studying the physiology of
coagulation, bleeding or thrombosis.
Who Can Apply
Applicants
must have:

An MD, PhD or both
- MDs must have earned their
degree in the past 12 years
- PhDs must have fewer than
eight years of postdoctoral experience
- MD/PhDs must have earned
their MD in the past 12 years
·
A current EHA or ISTH
membership
·
A mentor working in their
proposed research field
·
No other career
development funding provided by the EHA or ISTH at the time of application

A joint
EHA and ISTH review committee will review all applications and select the
awardees.
Requirements
Awardees
must:
- Submit an interim report
at the end of the first year highlighting their project’s progress and
summarizing the use of funds
- Submit a final report at
the end of the second year
- Respond to requests from
the ISTH and/or the EHA for information related to the progress of their career
after receiving the award
- Submit their study results
for presentation at the EHA and/or ISTH Congress
