At the ISTH, we facilitate discussion and collaboration among clinicians, researchers, educators and allied health professionals from all over the world by publishing research results, current reviews, diagnostic standards and disease nomenclature and standardization.

Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis

The Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) is one of the leading publications in our field. Its authors, reviewers and editors volunteer their time and expertise to contribute and disseminate important scientific information to the international research community.

Regular members of the ISTH receive a complimentary subscription to the print and online versions of the JTH; all other members receive a complimentary online subscription.

Official Communications

The ISTH’s Scientific and Standardization Committee (SSC) publishes official reports, recommendations and deliberations in JTH. As a service to the scientific community, we make all official SSC communications available as "open access” documents.

The SSC also publishes full-length versions of its official reports, recommendations, minutes and bibliography on the ISTH website.

Standards

Many of the standards developed by the SSC are adopted by the World Health Organization as International Standards. Through an effective collaboration with the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control of the United Kingdom, it provides a vital service to commercial manufacturers of diagnostic reagents by creating plasma and coagulation factor standards calibrated by laboratories of SSC-associated investigators.

Newsletters

Our quarterly e-Newsletter highlights global thrombosis and haemostasis news, reports on the work of our committees and publishes other information that helps facilitate the participation of our members in the many activities in our field.

Registries and Databases

The ISTH maintains a list of registries devoted to the ongoing projects of the Subcommittees. The registries are used to create an international network of clinicians and researchers working together for coordinated and consistent data collection.

Meeting Materials

We publish the ISTH Congress Daily, meeting abstracts and other materials to record meeting proceedings. We distribute them to all ISTH Congress delegates.
