Official Communications are the final product of many subcommittee projects and may take years to produce. The details of ongoing projects may be found in individual subcommittee pages.
SSC members and nonmembers can propose new projects. Subcommittees review all proposed projects and decide what projects to undertake. They then assign selected projects to a principal investigator and to a team of experts.
As a project reaches completion, a subsection of the project team authors a brief manuscript stating their conclusions and recommendations. Recommendations and classifications stemming for subcommittee projects are extremely important additions to the JTH.
The Guidelines to submit an Official Communication of the SSC can be found here.
