Airport Shuttle Service

Shuttle Service from Milwaukee and Chicago Airports

SSC 2014 Attendees staying at the official SSC 2014 Hotels (Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, Hilton Milwaukee City Center, and Ramada Milwaukee Downtown) have the opportunity to arrange shuttle service from the Milwaukee or Chicago airports to these hotels. Shuttle reservations may be made for one-way or round-trip routes.

To find the shuttle upon arrival at the airport:

  • Upon arrival at Milwaukee Mitchell Airport, attendees should gather their luggage before checking in at the GoRiteWay customer service kiosk which is located across from baggage claim #3.
  • Upon arrival at Chicago O’Hare Airport, attendees should first gather their luggage. Next, call the GoRiteWay office at +1-800-236-5450. The GoRiteWay customer service team will direct you to the correct door at baggage claim to find your driver and the vehicle.

Milwaukes's Local Bus System

The Milwaukee bus system is the least expensive way to get to the most places. Local routes can take you to all points in the city, and Freeway Flyers can take you quickly from the suburbs or closely outlying communities to downtown. For more information, click here.

Train Service in Milwaukee

While there is no local train service in Milwaukee, passengers can take Amtrak's Hiawatha or Empire Builder lines out of the Intermodal Station on St. Paul Avenue downtown. The Hiawatha service connects Milwaukee to Union Station in Chicago, and the Empire Builder runs from Chicago, through Milwaukee, to Minneapolis, Spokane, and ultimately Portland or Seattle.

Regional Bus Travel from Milwaukee

Many bus services use Milwaukee's Intermodal station as a hub. This is an easy point of entry into many regional and national bus routes.

Milwaukee's Airport

The main airport serving the Milwaukee area is General Mitchell International Airport. From Mitchell, passengers can fly direct to many points throughout the United States, or fly into one of the major hubs to connect with international flights serving worldwide destinations. Some international charters do fly in and out of Mitchell international, as do some flights to Canada.
