Course Objectives

The ISTH is committed to providing education to further advance the field of thrombosis and haemostasis, and tailors courses to meet the needs of hematologists and related specialties. Topics and training are geared for established professionals with the basic knowledge of hematology but are interested in furthering their education or can be used to compliment current training for young professionals just starting in the field.

The Second Advanced Training Course is a follow up to a successful course organized in 2011, attended by 200 professionals. Seeing the demand for an advanced session geared at hematologists; ISTH will begin offering the course annually. Course speakers will include 9 international and regional experts in the field of thrombosis and Haemostasis, all course speakers will be available to attendees for at least two days during the course.

Objectives:

1. Upon completion of the course, attendees will have an understanding of the latest developments in coagulation and bleeding disorder management.

2. Upon completion of the course, attendees will be able to identify, diagnose and have knowledge on the latest treatment for patients with risk of thrombosis

3. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with leading experts in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis, benefiting from the small training size (200 maximum participants)
