Specifically, the presentation
will cover the epidemiology of thrombosis in children, which is significantly
different to adults and identify the at risk populations for thrombosis in
children, as well as what is known of the clinical presentations and outcomes.
Additionally the presentation will highlight the available diagnositic
modalities and the evidence for their use in children, in light of some
practical limitations, as well as treatment options for thrombosis in children
and neonates and identify what is known about use of anticoagulants.
