You're invited to the ISTH Workshop on Thrombotic Disorders in San Juan del Rio, Mexico, May 31-June 2, 2018. This workshop is designed to offer training in the latest developments in venous thromboembolism and thrombosis management. The event will take place at the Fiesta Americana Hacienda Galindo hotel.


Target Audience:

  • early career professionals
  • trainees in hemostasis, hematology, transfusion medicine, vascular medicine, or intensive care medicine,
  • a Ph.D. wishing to acquire clinical and basic knowledge in the field, or
  • a senior hematologist looking for an update.


  1. Obtain an understanding of the latest developments in VTE and thrombosis management

  2. Learn to identify, diagnose and have knowledge of the latest treatment for patients with risk of thrombosis

  3. Have the opportunity to network with leading experts in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis, benefiting from the small training size (200 maximum participants)

Language: Spanish to English and English to Spanish Translation will be available.

Visa Information: 

Visitors from the United States, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom and Schengen area of the European Union are not required to obtain a visa to travel to Mexico. Many South American countries’ citizens also are not required to obtain a visa. Please check your visa requirements prior to travel to Mexico to confirm your specific visa needs.
