Professor Simon Stanworth

Consultant Haematologist, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK

Professor Simon J. Stanworth is a Consultant Haematologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital for NHS Blood & Transplant and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and the University of Oxford. His research interests are centered on clinical indications of blood components and use of alternatives, including large pragmatic clinical trials as treatment of bleeding or prophylaxis. He is Chair of the Specialty Working Group for Transfusion for the European Haematology Association, vice Chair for the International Committee Transfusion Medicine Guidelines (ICTMG), and Secretary of the Regional Transfusion Committee for Oxford and Southampton/Hants.
