Dr. Shirley Uitte de Willige Awarded 2013 ISTH-EHA Joint Fellowship

The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) and the European Hematology Association (EHA) are pleased to announce Shirley Uitte de Willige, PHD as the winner of the ISTH-EHA Joint Fellowship for 2013.

The grant amount will support Dr. Uitte de Willige’s studies on the heterogeneity of alpha-2-antiplasmin for a two-year period. Dr. Uitte de Willige is currently a member of the Department of Hematology at the University Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The ISTH-EHA Joint Fellowship is a collaborative program between the ISTH and the European Hematology Association and is intended to support the study of physiology of coagulation, bleeding or thrombosis. This fellowship award was presented at the Presidential dinner of the XXIV ISTH Congress in Amsterdam on July 1, 2013.
