5 Insider Tips for Submitting an Abstract to ISTH 2015 in Toronto

Abstract submissions are open for the ISTH 2015 Congress in Toronto, which will be June 20-25. The deadline for submission is approaching quickly on February 4, so don’t wait to submit your abstract! In order to help you submit your best work, we’ve compiled these insider tips:

1. If you are interested in submitting a Late Breaking Abstract, remember that a shell abstract (background and methods) will need to be submitted by the February 4 deadline. Additional information on Late Breaking Abstracts can be found here.

2. During the first step of uploading your abstract you will be given the opportunity to select if you would like to be considered for a Reach-the-World or Young Investigator Award, which could help you with travel expenses. Find out more information and if you qualify for one of these awards here.

3. Your abstract should contain between 1,000-2,000 characters in total. The maximum of 2,000 characters does include spaces and punctuation. The title and authors and their affiliations is not included in your 2,000 character total. There is a minimum of 30 and maximum of 255 characters permitted for you abstract title.

4. Be sure to collect the Conflict of Interest information for each author, as this is needed when adding each co-author to your abstract.

5. You have the ability to type in your abstract in each of the sections or copy and paste it into the submission site. Be sure to hit the save button often when typing to be sure you do not lose your text. The site will allow you enter in or copy one table into your submission. Graphs and pictures are not accepted.
