In appreciation of expert reviewers who spend hours of their valuable time meticulously analyzing all aspects of a submitted manuscript to the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH), the ISTH announced that the organization can now offer up to 3 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for review activity conducted for JTH.

Blackwell Futura Medical Services, a division of John Wiley & Sons, is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ can be awarded for reviews that constructively critique an article, help assess its importance and originality, and provide useful recommendations.

How do you claim the CME credits?

Please answer the following questions in ScholarOne™ when you submit your review:

  • Would you like to claim Reviewer CME?
  • Did completing this review improve your knowledge, application of skills, or performance in Clinical content/ Manuscript Review?
  • What change in practice will you make as a result of completing this review?

What happens next?

The Editors will then assess if the review adheres to JTH reviewer guidelines, is specific and accurate, complete, useful in recommendations to both editors and authors, consistent, timely, and mindful of the needs of the readers and medical community as a whole. You will be notified within 6 weeks with regard to your application for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
