Frits Rosendaal, Editor in Chief of the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH), has been elected to the Council of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The international Council consists of 32 members, some elected by more than 12,000 members and others co-opted.

COPE provides advice to editors and publishers on all aspects of publication ethics and, in particular, how to handle cases of research and publication misconduct. It also provides a forum for its members to discuss individual cases.

In addition to his role as Editor in Chief of JTH, Rosendaal serves as a member of the ISTH Council and was the ISTH 2013 Congress President in Amsterdam.
