The review article by Saha and colleagues in the October issue of JTH is on thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura and covers all aspects of this disease from pathogenesis to the newest therapeutic options.

Deep biochemistry is to be found in an article by Muller and colleagues, which investigates the lipid specificity of the membrane binding domain of blood coagulation factor X.

Mild bleeding problems remain difficult to diagnose and an article by Al Ghaithi and colleagues investigated whether multi electrode aggregometry or lumi-aggregometry is more favorable.
